Charging4s with ipad's charger?

Can I use my ipad3rd generation's charger to charge my iphone 4s?

I think it does. Mine is charged in no time. Then again, its flat in no time too!

Mine's usage is about 13% per hour. It was 18%, then I found website and kill unnecessary things....now it's down.....I killed for example the safari update with icloud, usage data send to apple etc etc....
