Apple announced earlier this week that folks over in China would be able to pre-order the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on October 10, with the devices finally going on sale and shipping October 17. However, it seems the three major carriers in China; China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom are ignoring Apple's October 10 pre-order date.
"We are thrilled to bring iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to our customers in China on all three carriers at launch", said Tim Cook in a press release. "With support for TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus customers will have access to high-speed mobile networks from for an incredible experience."
The three carriers are already taking pre-orders and have surpassed nearly 2 million units within the first six hours. The number of units is looking good as the 64GB model of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus cost nearly $1,000 USD in the country. Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus officially launch on October 17 in China, we'll be sure to keep you posted on the number sold.
