Contacts gone after reset

Recently reset my phone. My contacts and the Contacts icon are not there. Any ideas. The icon don't appear in Itunes either

Did you perform the reset via iTunes? Chances are you reset it as a New Device... and not from your backup. That would explain why your contacts aren't there. The icon however... go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout... and see if your Contacts icon shows back up.

Thank you, I changed the name of the phone not realising the cosequences. I presume if I rename it, problem gone?
