Does anyone have an app that allows you to create groups of contacts that works when you synch with Outlook Exchange? I have downloaded and tested several that just don't work. We recently upgraded to Exchange Server 2010, and I hoping that will allow grouping. At one point I had an app that was working called AddressPon but it stopped working and emails to the developer have fallen on deaf ears.

Get ABContacts from the apps store. It can handle any group contacts you sync from iTunes or outlook, also it can manage your group contacts very well edit delete and so on, and also you can directly add/create new group contacts. Check it in the apps store.

Interesting. Doesn't Outlook Exchange allow you Groups? I use groups from regular old Outlook (2010) and it syncs them just fine.

We make global groups. However there are GAL addresses and iPhone contacts that I want to group on the iPhone. Fir example, I have family n friends numbers on my phone that would not be grouped at the exchange level...

"ios4 cannot create groups in native apps" quote from abcontacts in AppStore.

Ah, okay. I was just wondering. Sorry I'm not going to be able to help out with this.

What do you mean? That ABContact can't create contact group? You want me to upload some good demonstration about ABContact in action creating and managing and deleting contact groups?

No I have installed four different contacts apps. They all do the same thing: I can create groups of contacts created on my iPhone, but they will not allow you to create a group of say, vendors, and add exchange gal contacts. Am I explaining that correctly? The one app I mentioned called AddressPon at one time allowed it. But by all means upload away and I'll check it out. We did just upgrade exchange 2003 to 2010, I'm hoping that there's something that will facilitate!

I have paid for and downloaded Bento, visual groups and grouping. I was at one point working with the developers on one of them trying to figure it out. Finally they admitted that it was a not possible...yet. They never asked shat version of exchange I was ok so I assumed it didn't matter. Now that I updated to exchange 2010 I was hoping to revisit this. I have almost 700 contacts because of the nature of what I do. Having groups is for managing those contacts not so much group texting or mails.
