Cydia wont work??

OK. If the file is getting locked every time, then it sounds like you have a permissions problem on the dpkg folder. Make sure you have read / write attributes wide open for all users. That will most likely sort it.

same all is good in the world of jester now and im hooked to this site heads up you should post that fix on other sites lots of ppl have the same problem and cant salve it

I have this same issue guys...

I deleted the empty lock file and recreated it in iFile, went into MobileTerminal and the file is still locked. I opened Cydia and it says to type dpkg --configure -a...

I did that in MobileTerminal and it says the area is in use by another process...

Now what?

I have the same problems here, just that for some reason the directory is /var/lip/dpkg/status. I cant load up anything on Cydia, no sources, categories or anything. PLEASE HELP!
