Forgive me for possibly posing a silly question.

I am the proud owner of an Iphone4.

One question I have is when I download an app for example does it default to using wireless and if it cannot find wireless than goto the carriers network?

Can you tell the phone to behave like this?

Yes, if you have wifi available and you have the wifi slider on it always defaults to wifi. Only way to force it to use the network is to turn wifi off.

Use wifi any chance you get. it's cheaper and most times faster.
