Sorry, Moed...didn't see this on time, but I see our Admin-Darkstar caught it! 
So MoeD: What exactly do you mean by "I believe I see the difference now. I set my Gmail the IMAP way versus Microsoft Exchange."
Does this have anything to do with my original question for this thread? Still looking for a solution.

Mitch, If you click on the link in your original post under step 4 it gives you a link. I believe that is how I set mine up. However now that I notice after hearing about the push vs pull my email is only retrieved manually (when I open up mail). So I am sorry I don't know if it is possible, I myself would like to have the mail set to push and be able to delete it. So I am with you now looking for a solution. Sorry....
