deleting photos on iphone 5

I recently installed ios7 on my iphone 5.But now I am having difficulty in deleting pics from my camera roll as I cannot find the delete button!Can anyone help?

You can delete pictures individually when you are looking at it

or

When you are album mode you can press "Select" in the top right corner. Then tap each picture you want to delete. The tap the trash can in the bottom right.

. The trash can button is not working.now what should I do?

If the trash can button is disabled, then you have synced the photos into album from iTunes. You must connect to iTunes and have it remove the photos.

thanks.you are right,I did sync them from iTunes .so now how do I delete it from there?
