Went to Verizon's website since the Apple website wasn't open still. Verizon was and placed the order. In big red letters it says orders will be delivered by 9/19... so all good there.

My AT&T iphone 6 Plus Gold 64GB shipping date is Oct 2nd to Oct 13 2014.
