Doubt regarding baseband pls help me out guys.....

I have 3GS version 4.0 with baseband 05.13.04 right now. It's an unlocked piece. Now I wanna upgrade it to 4.3.3 and jailbreak it.

My doubt is while upgrading the OS will the baseband change? Is there any link for baseband any os?

Is it possible to jailbreak 4.3.3 when we directly upgrade from 4.0 to 4.3.3.

Get an ipsw 4.3.3 for iPhone 4 gsm from Internet. Download the latest version of snowbreeze and cook your 4.3.3 ipsw by preserving your baseband. When you done with cooking your ipsw, follow snowbreeze onscreen instruction to flash the ipsw into your phone. Once the ipsw installed into your device head to cydia and look for ultrasnow to unlock your baseband. You can upgrade your phone from 4.0 to 4.3.3 without troubles. Just don't panic, read and follow all the instructions and voila.

When you get snowbreeze and runing it, you will see options asking to know what you want to include in the ipsw, just check like "preserve base band" "untether jailbreak" "boot logo" etc... You check those options that you need. Then create your cook ipsw, it takes a while, about 10 to 15mn depend on how fast your computer is, once ipsw cooked, snowbreeze will tell you what to do to load the created ipsw into your phone, just follow the snowbreeze onscreen instructions.

Yes, the baseband will change when you upgrade the firmware, but don't worry you can't still upgrade to iOS 4.3.3, jailbreak it, and unlock it by upgrading the baseband to iPad Baseband. Here's what you have to do :
Download iOS 4.3.3 for iPhone 3GS (Google it), and the latest version of sn0wbreeze (Google it). Open up sn0wbreeze, navigate to the 4.3.3 ipsw you downloaded earlier, go to : Expert Mode,press on General, then Next ( the blue button in the corner), then tick : Activate the iPhone, and Install SSH, then press Next, now click on : Install iPad Baseband, but be sure you read and understand the warning, and only continue if you want your phone unlocked and are willing to accept the consequences that come with iPad Baseband, then press Next, then Next one more time, then press on : Build IPSW. Afterwards follow the on-screen instructions to get your iPhone into PWND DFU Mode, then open iTunes, now hold the SHIFT key and press on : Restore, then navigate to the custom firmware you just made with sn0wbreeze, it should be named "sn0wbreeze_iPhone 3GS-4.3.3.ipsw", and wait for your iPhone to restore. After it restores, open up Cydia, go to : Manage > Sources > repo666.ultrasn0w, and press on : Ultrasn0w, then install it. Voila, you just jailbroke and unlock your iPhone 3GS.
I recommend you add the following repositories :
cydia.hackulo.us
cydia.xsellize.com
repo.insanelyi.com
by going to : Manage>Sources>Edit>Add, and typing each one of them. Then install Installous from the Hackulous repository, and you can get any package you want (for free) from xsellize and insanelyi, though I personally use those repositories to test out the packages before I actually buy them; the devs worked hard to make those.
