I know there's Hulu and Netflix to stream movies for a monthly fee. Crackle lets you stream movies for free but, they're not as up to date and Hulu and Netflix. An app to actually download movies... not sure that a "legal" one exists.

All I am going to say is this:

There are applications for PC and Mac that allow you to convert DVD's, Blu-ray's, and video files to a format viewable on the iPhone.

All discussion of downloading movies for free is not to be discussed on this site.
