Yes, it finally finished downloading and installing. I had a message the day before that it was going to do this on its own last night, which probably would have been easier and less stressful, but the Apple tech told me to download it myself to try to fix a problem with the wallet app. I had no idea it was going to turn into a several hours long ordeal of course. It is over now, but the problem with the app remains, so I went through all of that for nothing. Will have to bell Apple again today I guess.
I do have 5GB "data" on my phone plan, but I was at home and sitting 3-4 ft. from my router, and the phone was on the WiFi. No one else here using my WiFi, and only my laptop's browser and iMessages on the computer were open. I hope I do not have to spend much time on the phone with Apple again today. This is the reason I quit Windows computers years ago. It was too time and stress intensive for me.
