I just tried updating two of my cydia packages on my iphone 4 (5.0.1), and i got the error "posix: connection reset by peer." I haven't tried downloading anything else since. Does anyone know the cause of this error, and how this could perhaps be fixed?

Just wait a bit and then go back to Cydia and try again. Sometimes, the servers get busy or the repos don't load up properly. No worries ... just try back.
