Facebook Messenger Version 79.0 Gains Peek/Pop Features on iPhone 6S

Facebook has really stepped up its game when it comes to app updates. On Wednesday, the social network giant released the latest update to its Messenger application, version 79.0.

Facebook Messenger 79.0 finally adds support for 3D touch within the app. Previously, Messenger only supported 3D Touch on the homescreen icon, which showed quick actions for recent contacts, My Messenger Code, and New Message.

The company notes that the new Messenger updates adds Peek/Pop abilities for users to preview contacts, conversations, photos, videos, stickers, links and locations.

The app can be found as a free download in the iTunes App Store.
