find my iPhone with different iTunes account?

my son has an iphone that is currently on my itunes account. i can locate it using Find My Iphone easily. If he switches to his own itunes account...will i still be able to locate it with Find My Iphone, using my phone...on my own itunes account?

Find my iPhone is connected to the iCloud ID. If he sets up a new Apple ID for iTunes & App Store, he can keep your ID in iCloud, so you'll still be able to locate it.

hmmm
so if i go on his phone and sign out of itunes..and let him use his own itunes/app store account.... i can still track it bc it will still be linked to MY icloud account? looks like i was getting itunes/icloud mixed up.

The Apple ID for iTunes/App Store/iBooks Store is for purchasing apps, music, books, ..

The ID for iCloud is used to sync, backup, find stolen or lost devices (Find my iPhone), ...
If you keep it linked to your ID, you will still be able to locate it.
