Fool iTunes to think you have an ipad

I have an iPhone 4 and I want to be able to use the cox mobile connect for iPad because the iPhone one doesn't let you watch your recordings. Is there a way to get this on my iPhone? Maybe I can "fool" iTunes to think its an iPad?

iTunes is a sophisticated piece of kit. Fooling it won't be easy. If at all!

I have no idea how one would fool iTunes into thinking an iPhone is an iPad,

But if you can trick iTunes into thinking your device is up to date when it's not, fool iTunes into installing an iOS that is not the latest and not being signed, fool iTunes into installing a custom IPSW.

Then I imagine there is a way (probably really easy too) to fool it into thinking you have a completely different device. I have no idea how one would do so, but I bet there is a way. Maybe there has been really no reason to do this and that is why no one has figured out how.
