Gameloft has today released an announcement trailer for the next installment in its Gangstar open-world shooter series, Gangstar: Miami Vindication, for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Gameloft is, rather boldly, calling the game the most ambitious crime simulation ever developed for handheld. And thats about all theyre giving away for now. Going by the trailer, it looks like more of the GTA-inspired gameplay that the first installment in the series, Gangstar: West Coast Hustle was characterized by, just possibly with a few more palm trees, some fancy shirts and a lot more sunshine. Ambitious certainly is the word, with boats, motorbikes and helicopters featuring in the trailer, as well as some cool stunts, lots of violence against innocent persons and vehicles, and plenty of explosions. The only other bit of information that Gameloft is giving away is that the music featured in the trailer is a song by The Qemists called Stompbox, which features on the full games soundtrack. And when can we expect to see Gangstar: Miami Vindication hitting the App Store? All we know is soon. Grr!
