GreenPois0n Can "Hactivate" iPhone 4

Redmond Pie has some fresh information today for everyone patiently (and not so patiently), awaiting the iOS 4.1 jailbreak. Although they still don’t have a release date (sorry!), they have found out a very juicy snippet of information, namely that Chronic Dev Team hacker p0sixninja has confirmed via an answer to a question on Twitter that GreenPois0n will have the ability to “Hactivate” iPhone 4 and bypass iTunes’ activation screen so that the phone can be used without a SIM. This has prompted Redmond Pie to proclaim that the GreenPois0n low-level SHAtter exploit-based tool will be “pwning all iOS devices ever released for life", 'cause it's just that good!

Those interested in jailbreaking their iPhone can only hope that this latest piece of news is true, while they sit waiting for GreenPois0n to arrive. As ever, all we can say is, patience is a virtue, and we’ll let you know more as soon as we know more!

From what I read Greenpois0n is NOT using the "Shatter" exploit yet. They are saving it for a future jailbreak. There is lots of threads on here about this.
