[hate to be that guy] Need help - can't even restore!

Hey, I have an iPhone 3Gs which I jailbroke a few days ago using jailbreakme.com, and it worked great for a few days, no real issues. Last night I went to install three updates, I believe one was the cydia store update. I'm not 100% sure what it was (probably should have been my first hint not to touch anything), but cydia was telling me to install it, so I did. When I restarted my phone after the installation, it never came back. I'm running 4.3.3 and my issue is that I can't even connect to iTunes. I'm currently plugged into the computer via USB, and the phone is just showing the apple logo. As I said, it is not showing up in iTunes, so I can't even restore it! Please help!
Edit: I'm not even quite sure that it's charging. I've tried a different USB cable and it's still just not working
