Help me with updating my ifone

I spent ages from morning until now evning trying to update my iphone from version 4.3.5 to 5.1.1 and then to ios 6
But the backup didnt work it says
Iphone couldnt save on this computer
I tried all the attemps but couldnt fix the problem
It also says the computer not connected to the network


Whaaat to do
Iam fed up
Hellp me

Back to basics. Close iTunes, reboot computer, try it again if you haven't already done that.

How are you trying to update to 5.1.1 have you got the shsh blobs saved for that firmware?
