A notable iOS developer has just released a jailbreak free solution called Rag3Hack that removes the status bar in Safari from the mobile view. The tweak is very useful for those craving to get some extra screen space. The best thing about it is that even users who are skittish of trying jailbreak tricks can safely use it.
This new tweak demonstrates that the status bar in Safari is not immobile as previously thought. To proceed to using the tweak, users have to access the following website: http://rag3hack.no-ip.org/status.html via their iOS device. After doing so, they will have to press the big obvious Hide Status button. After the task is completed Safari should go black, then come back on status bar free. If however you want your Status bar back on, all you have to do is turn off Safari and open it up again. Voila, the Status bar will be present.
This tweak comes courtesy of the same developer that last week released the method of hiding the stock iOS apps from view.
