In itunes, if you go in File>Library>Backup, the only option available is to backup on a CD/DVD, how can you select a USB external harddrive?

What in iTunes are you trying to backup? If I'm not mistaken all you can backup with that option is your music. I just make a copy of my iTunes music folder to me external drive...

Don't know of any easy way to do it. Just drag the app folder with all the ipa's over to your external from the iTunes folder......
