How to get lost photos and notes back on my new Iphone 3GS

Please help me. My IPhone 3GS recently broke down (the touch screen stopped working). Before taking it to repair I did a full ITunes sync. Finally they gave me a new IPhone 3GS but I was worried if I would get all my data back when syncing. Actually all APPS where there with the info stored but I am missing at least 100 photos. Some photos are there but not all (maybe some where via photo stream and others on camera roll). I am not sure. Further to this I make a lot of notes and some of them are there but others are not. Anybody got any ideas? Is there any way I can get back this missing data?
