Hw is your battery life on the iphone 4s??

I'm disappointed as well. Came from a droid incredible which had horrible battery life, this is slightly better but i expected more.

This is why you never jump for the first batch of iPhones. Life lesson learned.

I guess it's. Common problem. I just did a restore and set up has a new phone last night and still battery is horrible. I analeptics with a 59% and woke up with 44%. Dam. No wi fi. Nothing.

It seems that if you turn of most notifications (everything but weather,phone,messages,calendar,and mail) and turn off location services (leave on siri, weather,and my radar). I will report back more later, but so far so good.

Apple said standby time would be less. It's a dual core processor. There is no battery technology out there that can keep up with that. Jobs talked about that challenge with the first iPhone. We the consumers want more compact, more high tech, and the battery industry has not kept up. My solution since the 3GS is keep your task screen small, and chargers everywhere.

I plan on returning my Iphone for reasons beyond the poor battery life. Remember, many phones allow you to change the battery and the memory. The question for is, do these phones provide an experience beyond these issues that is superior to what the Iphone brings you. For me, there are other phones that allow me to change memory and battery that provide an experience superior to the Iphone. An experience FOR ME, and maybe not you or any other person on the planet. I love my battery life after I did a full reset and started phone as a new one, unplugged at 6 am and and at 92% now. I actually had an apple appointment to check my phone out but I canceled it. Hope apple puts a fix out for anyone having the problem.

I wonder if Apple could do something like Intel's Speedstep where you underclock the processor when you don't really need all that power.

This is literally my first smartphone, so I have no idea what to expect for battery life. My old "do nothing" phone had great battery life (4-6 days), but I knew not to expect that with this new 4s. I'm not disappointed with it so far though.... I unplugged it this morning at 7am and at 4pm I show 72% battery. I may not use it like some of you, but today I've had my kids play games on it for an hour, I did about 15 emails, and wandered around the web for an hour or so. Looked at a bunch of apps, downloaded 2, only one phone call for about 5 minutes.
As long as it goes all day...I'm cool with that.
