i keep getting error 11 when trying to reinstall ios on my iphone 4

i am trying to restore my iphone got from a friend his contract ended and upgraded to i phone 5 it is factory unlocked just for information i do not need to do a soft wear unlock

i wanted to just do a restore as i can not do a full reset as the phone has been jail broken and has got a lot of blobs from 4.1 to 5.01 (poss more this from memory as i am now typing

i can do the jailbreak easy as i have just done one on my otherhalfs iphone 4 i just want to restore to ios 5.0.1 i have down loaded the ios 5.0.1 started tiny umbrella started the sever done shift and restore it extracts and then said cant do error 11 any help please

have done more work now got to error 1600 1601 1602 1604 tryed ireb on to dfu mode still get the same and tryed a second pc and 4 diffrent leads any help ?

160X is often a driver issue. Try removing the driver, reboot, and reinstalling

can it be driver issues if i tryed it on 2 pcs ?

I get the same errors as the OP and I have tried it on 4 different PC's ranging from Windows XP, Windows Vista x86/x64, Windows 7 x64. I still wind up with the same 1600 error message.

If its a iPhone 4s u have to use redns0w restore feature. Now if it's a iPhone 4 I would try updating it to 6.0.1 on iTunes then go into redns0w go to the restore feature again have you ipsw and blobs for 5.1.1 then restore then you should be downgraded

Wait wait wait. You're on 5.0.1 trying to re-restore to 5.0.1? And blobs aren't store on your iPhone, they're stored on Cydia's servers

yes want to install the same firmware if i upgade with itunes to latest can i then down grade to another firmware ?

For the 4, you can use the restore function directly and do it. Or you can upgrade to iOS 6.0.1, then create a custom firmware and restore, or, you can use RedSn0w's restore function again

Mine is an iPhone4. I have my blobs and have create my IPSW. When I try to restore via iTunes I keep getting the error 1600, no matter how many computers I try it on.

Does anyone know the exact procedure I should try and follow here? Nothing seems to be working, and quite frankly I can not stand to be on iOS 6.xx any longer.

Uninstall the driver, restart your pc, then plug your iPhone back in to reinstall thedriver

That doesn't make any sense when it happens on 4 different PCs, but I will try it once again.

If you know what Ifaith is you could try using that to downgrade cause you will be in pwndfu mode and look up a video on how to do that cause I can't remember what you need to do but I would try that to see if it works and if you don't want use ireb from ih8sn0w.com and run that cause that might fix the 16xx errors
