You will have to restore to a custom iPSW. You should not have unchecked install Cydia(unless Cydia was already installed). I know it's not what you wanted to here, but it is What it is. Restoring to a custom iPSW will NOT make you lose your unlock. As long as you *ALWAYS* restore to a *custom* iPSW.
Download Sn0wbreeze from here:

Then download the 4.2.1 iPSW for your *device model* here:
http://theiphonewiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=firmware save it to your desktop.
Open Sn0wbreeze, select your iPSW, by clicking "Browse" and locating it on your desktop through the window.
In the General tab choose "Activate iPhone(Hactivation)".
Let the click the next arrow, click Build IPSW.
Let Sn0wbreeze do it's thing. The iPSW will be saved to your desktop upon completion.
Also, upon completion of the iPSW you will presented to enter PWNE DFU mode with iREB(Limera1n).
You *MUST* enter PWNED DFU mode with iREB before restoring ALWAYS. IREB is located within Sn0wbreeze.
Once you *get the success message* that your device is in PWNED DFU mode, you have to open iTunes.
Once iTunes is open, hold down the shift key on your keyboard, *while* you click the Restore button in iTunes.
Select your Sn0wbreeze iPSW through the window. Double click on it.
Let iTunes do the rest.
The phone will be jailbroken unless you choose "Baseband Preservation Mode". ALL modes preserve baseband. The only difference with BB Preservation Mode is that it does not jailbreak.
It would be wise to jailbreak, so you could do things to make the phone faster. But that's up to you.
Either way....you must restore. The only way to get out of the state your in. Custom iPSW will preserve Baseband therefore, you WILL keep the unlock. That won't he a problem.
