need to jail brake, also need to up grade software, so I can change the apn settings. I have I Phone configuration utility installed on my pc
apn settings dose not match straight talk That is why I need to up grade to Ios 4
I cannot access internet or YF. Phone tells me I am not Subscribed to a Cel data Service I have straight Talk STraignt Talk tells me I need to change APN settings Canott find or access menue on IPhone. pone works to make phone calls only
Iphone model I Phone is 3.1.3 (7E18). Model MA712LL. 7.1 GB

It would help to provide which iPhone you have. Regardless however, you can use RedSn0w to restore and jailbreak. The only dependency is which device you have so you know which IPSW you need to download.

Iphone it is the first one made, madel MA712LL Version 3.1.3 (7E18) Carrier was ATT Capasity 7.1 GB
Phone works to make phone calls
unable to conect to YF or Internet Phone tells me I am not subscribed to a Cell Data Service. Straight talk tells me to change APN settings. Unable to access menue to make these changes.

Might be that the baseband doesn't allow for it since even on 3.1.3, it's a really REALLY old baseband. You can use Spirit JB to jailbreak iOS 3.1.3. Make sure you run as administrator. You won't be able to get much out of it since Straight Talk is piggybacking on AT&T's 4G, and since it's an original iPhone, it doesn't support 4G.
