Iffy wifi

Hi all,i hope your all ok,a quick Q i have a Iphone 4s,the wifi seems to be
playing up,so for months now i go out with phone,and it auto goes to 3g,
i come home it auto goes to my wifi,now the last couple of days,when i've
come home i've had to put the wifi on myself,but it if i use the phone,after
its gone back to 3g,it does'nt seem to hold onto wifi,,,,
Any ideas please,,Cheers Baza

Does it show connected to WiFi but not using it? If it is the WiFi connection to your phone or to the Internet may be the issue.

Hi thanks for your reply,it shows connected,but then it will revert back to 3g,
i have recently bought a Amazon firestick,d'you think that might be the problem.

Will your iPhone connect properly to any other WiFi sources, such as public WiFi at places such as McDonalds?

If your iPhone connects properly to other WiFi hotspots, it's likely that your router may be faulty.
