Iphone 3gs can't activate ios 4.0

Hi, there i got a 3gs and was bored of ios 6 cause it is too heavy for my old phone. I just put it ios 4(im thinking for 3.1.3 later) but i can't activate it. I stucked in "connect to itunes" screen. I tried to jailbreak it with redsnow but nothing happens. My phone has an old bootrom. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

If it's stuck on Recovery Mode, use a Recovery Fix from RedSn0w or utilities of the like.
