Iphone 4 from At&t to Version

I'm about to switch from At&t to Version when my contract ends. Can my Iphone 4 be switched to Version I thought I'd give it to my son?

No. The iPhone 4 has two distinct versions. One that is locked to GSM only and one that is locked to CDMA only. You will have to acquire a CMDA based iPhone.

Nope you can't. There are 2 completely different versions.
