Iphone 4 not syncing to Itunes after jailbreakme hack

It's threads like this that scare the hell out of me. I want to jailbrake so bad , but don't want this to happen. I still have 4.01 so I can but.......

you can always jailbreak, then if it doesnt work just do the full contents and settings reset and you should be good to go, if all else fails DFU mode

Ya my issue was very isolated, if my phone would have been syncing properly I could have easily restored if I wanted to.
