Iphone 4s in recovery mode

Hello all. My wife has a 4s that when u try to turn on goes straight to hook up to itunes. When hooked to itunes it says it identifies a iphone in recovery mode and needs to be restored. When trying to restore it pops up unable to restore due to unknown "error 21". It is a sprint phone. Software said up to date. Thx

What was done on the device prior to it going into Recovery Mode.

Nothing just turned on this am and a little wheel like thing was spinning and hasnt worked since. Worked fine last night.

Use TinyUmbrella and see if a Recovery Fix boots the device out of its current state. Windows || Mac OSX

Simply plug in your device, run TinyUmbrella (as an administrator if applicable), then click on Recovery Fix.

Try using another computer. This happened to mine a week ago. My drivers were Corrupted and I couldn't update them so I took my phone to my mom's and used her computer and restored it
