MacRumors reports that, as promised, Apple has today launched the iPhone 4S in more than 20 countries around the world. This includes, Bahrain, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, the Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. MacRumors adds that in some countries, such as Brazil for example, because of high import duties, the phone will cost a staggering $1410 for the 16 GB version, $1628 for the 32 GB version, and $1845 for the 64 GB version. According to the report, Russian iPhone fans can also expect to pay over the odds for the 4S to Apples carrier partner MTC, which will be selling it for from $1131 to $1350. MacRumors also notes that in certain other countries, such as Malaysia, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Thailand, the iPhone 4S will be priced at roughly the same amount that it is in the US, namely $700/$800/$900 for the three different models.
