i found the list of ipsw's on this site is that all i need to do the restore then rejailbreak and restore using pkgbackup?

Pkgbackup only backs up a list of Cydia tweaks and such for after you restore and rejailbreak. Restore, jailbreak and restore Cydia items

Yes. The downloads from the site are directly from Apple

ok well that didn't work now its stuck in recovery mode and is asking me to restore should i restore and just use a backup i did before all this?\

the exact steps u listed. did remote for blobs and it said something about ota

That means your device was updated to iOS 5.1.1 either OTA or through the factory. In that case, you can't re-restore, and your only option is to manually wipe the phone of everything, or restore to iOS 6.0.1.
