BGR writes that despite earlier rumblings that the iPhone 6’s battery capacity might be smaller than expected, new information suggests that in fact the opposite may well be the case.
According to G for Games, ESM-China’s news chief analyst Sung Chang Xu wrote on Weibo that the iPhone 6 may well have a 2,000mAh battery, which would be much bigger than the rumoured 1,810mAh battery for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6.
Xu said that while it was in fact that the iPhone 6 did initially have a 1,810mAh battery, this was only used for testing, and is not indicative of the battery size of the retail version of the iPhone 6.
As BGR notes, it has also been reported recently that Apple has had its work cut out creating an iPhone battery small enough to fit inside the thinner iPhone 6, but apparently these problems have now been ironed out, as we should be able to see on September 9 when the next iPhone is unveiled.
