According to a report on AppleInsider today, new figures from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners that look at the first 30 days of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus availability show that the iPhone 6 represented 68% of all iPhone sales, and the iPhone 6 Plus represented between 23% and 24%.
Add those figures together, and you see that the two new iPhone 6 models accounted for 91% of total iPhone sales during the first month that the phones were on sale. The rest of the sales were made up by the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
Consumer Intelligence Research Partners analyst Steven Milunovich noted that this is an improvement on the iPhone sales figures from a year ago, when the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c represented 84% of total iPhone sales in the first month the phones were on sale.
Milunovich interjected a note of caution when it comes to comparing the sales of the two iPhone 6 models, saying that there is presently no way of knowing how many units of the iPhone 6 Plus Apple would actually be able to sell if it were not for the supply shortages affecting stocks of the larger phone. It could be that if there were equal stocks of both, then the sales figures would also be more equal.
