iPhone Display

Hi All,

Is it possible to view your screen on an iPhone 4S while it's connected to an accessory. I have an Alfa 159 with a Blue&Me dongle connected via USB to the car. When connected the screen on the iPhone turns grey and shows "Accessory Connected". I get the info via my dashboard display but it's very basic. I would prefer to see what I'm listening to or going to listen to via the screen on the iPhone. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Apoligies..I misread your first post... will pressing the home button show you the springboard or does it stay greyed out ...? Access to the home screen should give you control of your music...

Sorry for the delay. The iPhone display and functions work ok when in the cradle, it's when you tap the music icon the screen shows accessory connected. I would like to see my album art or track listing if possible
