iPhone Found

Greetings:
Seeking guidance for a lost iPhone. Found it roadside and did take it home. The display looks like a plaid kilt. Charged it and found that it does power on. Sometime later it emitted a sound... Captured it on a phone voice recorder... see no way to upload to a URL. Is there another way to upload this 10 sec file? Guidance sought

Bring it to an Apple store. They will be able to locate the owner.

I agree with HunnieBunnie. The iPhone has to be returned to it’s owner. It’s supposedly connected to an iCloud ID, so it’t won’t be possible to use it anyway.

^^^^ Exactly! If you were the owner, you would want the person who found it to simply return it to Apple, would you not?

I suspect the sound emitted by the phone was an attempt by the owner to locate the phone using Find My iPhone. With luck, they will try calling it at some point to see if it gets answered.
