Popular WhatsApp messaging service has now been updated with a new feature that allows iPhone users to chat in the browser using a web app. WhatsApp Web became available on various platforms including Android and Windows Phone earlier this year, and now it has been released for iPhone users, as well.
In order for WhatsApp Web to work on your iPhone, the service requires the latest version of the app to be installed. WhatsApp Web appears to only function in the browser when WhatsApp on the iPhone is actively running.
You can setup the feature in the iOS app’s settings by going yo web.whatsapp.com with Google Chrome. WhatsApp for iPhone is available for free on the App Store, however the service is free during the first year and costs 99¢/year after that.
