So,

I have an iPod Touch 1st Gen. I lost it two years ago and now I have just found it. I booted it up and it has a password. I can't remember it. I've also gotten rid of the original computer it used to sync on, it was an old iMac, but the motherboard went so we got a new one. I've tried connecting it, but it says you need to input the password. What can I do to get back onto it, or restore it?

Cheers,

Eben

For iOS 6 and below, that will wipe your device clean completely and gives you a clean start. For iOS 7, you'll need to re-log into your AppleID.

I don't think a 1st generation will support iOS7. My 2nd generation iPod won't even support iOS6.

Just in a theoretical/general sense as some users reading this may or may not be on iOS 3.1.3
