Hey fellows, I know it might be a dumb question but the ppl at verizon said the iPohe 4 is 4G compatible but thee other day iwas reading a post or threat saying that the iphone 5 is not gonna be ALSO be 4G compatible. Is the iPhone 4 4G compatible or not?? i'm confused.. thanks

Iphone4 is 4g compatible, and the same will go to the iphone5, however, most of the networks haven't update their network to 4g, by the time a network will impliment 4g, the iphone 4 and 5 will be able to handle them.

iPhone4 is NOT 4G (LTE Network) compatible. Iphone4 has a CDMA type radio and not a LTE type radio like the future phones will use. Rumours are that the iPhone5 will also NOT be 4G (LTE) capable as the AT&T LTE network will not be online until sometime late in 2012.

The iphone 4 does not run on 4g. When networks move to 4g, the iphone 4 will still work, however, it will not run at 4g speeds...so they will still be compatible with networks that use 4g, but run at 3g speed. Perhaps several years down the road cellco's will discontinue 3g service and your phone won't work on them - but I wouldn't worry about it; you've got atleast 5 years.
