Hello,
I’m experiencing a problem with the Files app on my iPhone. When I attempt to open a particular folder, the app redirects me back to the main screen instead of displaying the folder’s contents.

Steps I’ve Taken to Resolve the Issue:

1. Force Closed and Reopened the Files App

2. Restarted My iPhone

3. Offloaded and Reinstalled the Files App

4. Checked for iOS Updates

5. Reset All Settings

6. Changed Language and Region Settings

Despite these efforts, the issue persists with this specific folder. Other folders in the Files app open without any problems.

I am using iPhone 14 pro with latest iOS

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have suggestions for resolving this?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I'm curious about whether the app is crashing. When you are returned to the Home Screen, does the Files app show up in the list of open apps?

Can you give us any further info about the contents of the folder? In particular, have you previously been able to view/open the files contained therein?

When I click on the specific folder named ‘Ride,’ which contains videos, photos, and PDFs, the folder does not open. Instead, it redirects me to the main window of the Files app.

Where did you get the folder? From your Mac or PC, or airdropped from another source?

The folder itself could be corrupted or unreadable for some reason. You could try to airdrop it to another device from your iPhone to see if you can view its contents on the other device. Or you could try deleting the file and recopying it again.
