Morning Folks, new to this forum although I have had jailbroken devices since my first iPhone 3 (seems light years away). Currently jailbroken 4S and iPad 2 on newest firmware - have 'experimented' with just about anything under the sun - sometimes to my detriment
Happy to help people out when I can, my current headache is a 3GS (5.01 Abs1nthe) that will not 'unjailbreak' : Tried to Shift/Restore in PwnedDFU, changed host with TinyUmbrella etc. This was done on WindowsXP - anyone ?? I sold the phone to a friend and she wants a 'clean' Apple OS (yes I know, she's missing out)

Woohooo - done it: did exactly the same as indicated on my previous post but on OSX - Mt.Lion: TinyUmbrella to disable Cydia host, Redsn0w to PwnDFU and Option restore with iTunes to downloded IPSW 5.1.1. Fresh 'virginised 3GS'

Previously tried it on a lenovo laptop - XP over proxy server, suspect server connection denied ​
