iTunes set up - can't download 9.2

I have an old-ish laptop - one of the first Mac Book Pro G4s - and just got an iphone 4. My laptop apparently doesn't support the minimum itunes version (9.2), although I do have Itunes 9.

Is it possible my laptop is too old? I just can't believe a G4 laptop can't support iTunes 9.2. Any advice???

What OS version are you running? You must be on 10.5 and above. Here is the link to D/L iTunes10 and the minimum requirements are on the left side.
