Itunes tv shows

K so I recently added some tv show series into my iTunes to be able to sync to my iPhone and iPad. I can see them in recently added went into options changed the media type to tv show. When I select my device then tv shows they do not appear so I am not able to add them. Currently I have to drag the tv shows to a new folder then sync that folder however to watch the tv shows I have open the playlist in music to find the tv shows. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
