I've updated to 5.0.1

Is there a chance that when the chronic dev team release the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak, it would work on 5.0.1. Or should I just used a tethered jailbreak?

Just use a tethered jailbreak. Pod2g is the one who will be releasing the first untethered jailbreak for iOS5 and he said to stay on 5.0 because the exploit he is using was patched in 5.0.1.
