I have a ipod touch 4g ios 5.1.1 and it is already jailbroken.. the problem i am having is one day i had to re-install scramble with friends and for some reason now all my zynga games claim they are linked to facebook but do not list facebook friends and so what i figured some how there is a screwed up file some were on my ipod that is not linking right so what i want to do is clear my ipod and re jailbreak it to 5.1.1 and get my stuff back is this possible and if so can some one point me to a tutorial that would help me.

Since you're already JB on 5.1.1... Cydia should have SHSH's saved for iOS 5.1.1. Check the top of Cydia's home page and see if it's listed in the iOS'. If so, you're good to go. You'll use redsn0w v. 0.9.15b3 to stitch those SHSH's from Cydia's server to a 5.1.1 IPSW into a custom IPSW to restore to.

yes it does have 5.01 -> 6.01 i have heard of this but have no clue how to do it also the restore thing so i dont loose all my stuff i installed through cydia

It's impossible to backup everything you have on Cydia. You can use apps like PKGBackup to pack a list of apps/tweaks you've downloaded, back it up, restore and jailbreak, re-install PKGBackup, and unload the list again. It won't save user settings, it just tells Cydia what you previously downloaded.

Download the latest version of RedSn0w like Justin said, which is 0.9.15 beta 3. Download the iOS 5.1.1 IPSW for the iPod Touch 4th Gen. Run RedSn0w as admin, go to Extras > Even More > Restore. Select IPSW and point it to the IPSW you downloaded. Then underneath, click "Remote" for blobs, and RedSn0w will retrieve your SHSH blobs for 5.1.1 for your iPod Touch 4th gen. Follow the on-screen instructions, and it will upgrade to 5.1.1. If you get hit with the Recovery Mode screen after the restore, just perform a recovery fix using RedSn0w or TinyUmbrella or iFaith, etc

2 potentials. You either didn't follow instructions, or you're using a pirated version of PKGBackup
