Good things come to those who wait. Or... those who haven't upgrade to 5.0+ yet. LOL!!!Hmm, it sure is taking long for an untethered iPhone 4 jb
yodavid said:i know this is a pretty basic question, but i couldn't find an answer
i have the 4.3.5 tethered. if i want to upgrade to 5.0.1, i will have to restore factory settings, right?
if i jailbreak the iOS 5.0.1 tethered now, can i jailbreak it later untethered, without having to restore the factory settings, and without any problem?
besides, last time i restored the factory settings, i couldn't download the apps i had purchased from itunes again. they were available for buying, as if i had never bought them. how do i deal with that =/
thank you
The general concensus is for people to stay on 5.0 if you're wanting an untethered JB. 5.0.1 included a patch for the exploit that was being worked for that untethered JB. It's not going to matter if you save 5.0.1 from iTunes or not... there's no way, as of right now, to downgrade. So, to answer your question... stay on 5.0 cause it has the exploit for an untethered break. How soon a JB will be available for the 4S, though... that is an even bigger question.Hi I'm looking for a bit of help. I've got a 4s on ios 5.0 and I want to jailbreak it - yes I know it can't be done yet - I know that I shouldn't upgrade to ios 5.0.1 should I keep iTunes to 5.0 or can I upgrade iTunes but just not my iPhone? Thanks
