Jailbreaking my iphone4

I want to jailbreak my iPhone 4 but don't know where to begin. My phone is 4.0.1 whatever that means. What software do I need to jailbreak my phone. Could someone help please!

4.0.1.... I'm not sure if JailbreakMe.com will support that firmware. Just hit that URL up in the Safari on your phone & go from there. It'll either work or won't. If not then we can go further.

Yes, you can use JailbreakMe, it wasn't patched until 4.0.2
