Well, you can try now. Just would be a tethered jailbreak.

FYI...tethered jailbreaks are more stable then untethered jailbreaks.

I would be on 5.1 if I could disable the new lock screen camera. I know...what a silly reason to not update...but what can I say....I have my own slider I use...and would like to alway be able to use it with its original size.lol.

The tethered jailbreak won't work for me. I'm away from my laptop for weeks at a time when I'm working. If I had to reboot or shut down I couldn't do without the features that from what I've read become disabled till you can get back to your host computer.
